Your Role

As a QA Specialist, you will be a key part of ensuring the quality and stability of our upcoming survival-to-city-builder RPG, Solid River.

You will work hands-on with game builds, systems, and features, identifying bugs, inconsistencies, and gameplay issues across all stages of development. You will collaborate closely with design, engineering, and production, contributing to clear feedback loops and helping us continuously improve our QA processes.

This role offers the opportunity to take on increasing responsibility over time and grow into a more senior or lead position as the project and team scale.

Responsibilities

  • Test game builds across core gameplay systems, features, and content
  • Identify, reproduce, and clearly document bugs and gameplay issues
  • Verify bug fixes and support regression testing for new features and updates
  • Create and maintain structured test cases for assigned systems
  • Participate in regular playtests and provide actionable gameplay feedback
  • Work closely with designers and engineers to clarify expected behavior
  • Support internal and external playtests with preparation, execution, and follow-up
  • Help improve QA workflows, documentation, and tooling over time
  • Take ownership of larger test areas and coordination tasks

Requirements

  • Strong attention to detail and a structured way of working
  • Clear and concise communication skills in English (written and verbal), German is a plus
  • Experience with QA processes, testing methodologies, or game testing is a plus
  • Hands-on experience with Unreal Engine 5 or strong motivation to learn it
  • Familiarity with bug tracking tools such as Jira or similar systems
  • Passion for survival games, RPGs, or city-building games
  • Motivation to grow professionally and take on more responsibility over time
  • Ability to work on-site in Munich and collaborate closely with the core development team
